Rye Ford- which is close to my house- told me that I might need a new engine because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car, and that I may need a new engine. They claimed to have replaced all of the spark plugs. So, I decided that I wanted a second opinion before I went any further, and potentially bought a new engine for $4000 and paid for more diagnostic work. I brought my car down to to Joe at MG Auto in Pelham, where I grew up; my mother and grandmother have gone to him for decades, and have had only had good experiences.
After looking at my car, Joe explained to me that the second spark plug was still in the engine- and that Rye Ford had not done the work I had paid for. He was able, after some force and an overnight soak of the plug, to manage to get it out and successfully replace it. The check engine light is now off- and my car is fixed thanks to him. He was honest and effective. He is a top-rate mechanic who Pelham is truly lucky to have working in its town.
